Hey! So Glad You're Here.

Welcome! My name is Nicolle, I'm a mom to two little firecrackers. Ellie is an independent, smart, and curious little lady, challenging me daily to be my best self. When she was about 8 months old, she started to get eczema on her back and belly. After her first birthday, we tested for allergies and sensitivities. Results showed she had no allergies but several food sensitivities. We cut them all from her diet and her eczema disappeared.

 

Fast forward to Jimmy, who is about as sweet and good natured as they come. When he was 6 weeks old he started developing eczema on his face. I was nursing him and I figured I would cut the typical "triggers" from my diet. It didn't help. By the time he turned one, he was diagnosed with chronic eczema, had several anaphylactic allergies, using steroid cream daily, and I was on the internet almost every night researching anything and everything related to eczema and allergies.

 

I'm a person that likes to be in-the-know. Knowledge is power. However, I am aware that I am not a subject matter expert when it comes to eczema and allergies. There are many people out there who are, but sometimes they are hard to find. Occasionally I would take me reading a comment on a social media thread that said, "have you heard about/looked into fill-in-the-blank" before I "discovered" more helpful information.

 

Hence, the birth of this website. I want to help others learn more about eczema and allergies by gathering all that awesome information and having it in one, easy-to-access, place.
